Liu Jia is hidden as the main commander, and Liu Yi appears on the board as a representative.

  • Representative of the coach, leader

  • Among the Eight Doors, the door currently in season is the Chief of Staff
  • Representative, Executor
  • The palace where the Zhishi Gate is located is also very important.

Yin-Yang Dun

Qimen Dunjia is divided into Yin Dun and Yang Dun:

Yang Dun (Positive Escape)

  • Time: From Winter Solstice to Summer Solstice (11th to 5th lunar month)
  • Characteristics: Moves clockwise, from Palace 1 to Palace 9
  • Symbolism: Rising Yang energy, growth of all things

Yin Dun

  • Time: After Summer Solstice until before Winter Solstice (6th to 10th lunar month)
  • Characteristics: Retrograde, from the Nine Palaces to the One Palace
  • Symbolism: Yin energy descends, all things are stored

Qimen Dunjia has a total of 18 boards (9 Yang boards, 9 Yin boards), each corresponding to a different time period.

Auspicious Patterns

  • Green Dragon Returns to Head: Jia Zi, Jia Xu, Jia Shen in the Kan Palace of the Earth Plate
  • Flying Bird Falls into Cave: Yi, Bing, Ding obtain the Sheng Men (Life Gate) and Kai Men (Open Gate)
  • Three Wonders Obtain Envoy: Three Wonders arrive at the Zhi Shi Men (Duty Gate)
  • Qi Yi Xiang He (Mysterious and Auspicious Combinations): Such as Yi Geng He, Bing Xin He, etc.

Malicious Formations

  • Fu Yin (Repetition): The heavenly disk and earthly disk are the same.
  • Fan Yin (Reversal): The heavenly disk and earthly disk clash.
  • San Qi Ru Mu (Three Wonders Entering the Tomb): The three wonders fall into the four tomb palaces (Chen, Xu, Chou, Wei)
  • Men Po (Gate Clash): The gate's palace position is clashing.

  3. Examine the Palace's Generating and Restraining Relationships: Analyze the five-element generating and restraining relationships
  4. Assess the auspiciousness/inauspiciousness of the pattern: Determine if there is an auspicious or inauspicious pattern
  5. Comprehensive judgment: Combine all elements to draw a conclusion
