Introduction
The "I Ching" is one of the most important philosophical classics in ancient China, hailed as the "foremost of all classics." Through its system of eight trigrams and sixty-four hexagrams, it reveals the laws governing the changes of all things in the universe.
What is the I Ching
The "I Ching," also known as the "Zhou Yi," is an ancient classic that encompasses philosophy, divination, science, and other attributes. The character "Yi" has three meanings:
- Simplicity: The great truth is simple; the laws of all things are actually very simple, and complex matters can be simplified.
- Change: Everything in the world is constantly changing.
- Constancy: Although all things are changing, the laws of change themselves remain constant, truth remains constant, and the inherent principles of things remain constant.
